The Town of Sheridan Mayor and Council work together for the citizens of our community. As leaders, they are committed to protecting the Town of Sheridan assets through the encouragement of residents and businesses to become integral participants in our community.

MAYOR

The responsibility of the Town of Sheridan Mayor is to serve all citizens and business owners fairly and openly. A committment to applying these principles in the most professional and timely manner possible is key in guiding our community through continued growth and success. Listed below are just a few of the responsibilities.

  • Overseeing the performance of all Departments
  • Implementing policies and ideas adopted by Council
  • Ensuring that all projects, operations, and functions of the Town operate efficiently
  • Ensuring all Local, State, and Federal laws are followed by the Town
  • Responding to citizen concerns
  • The Mayor also works to develop the Town's annual budget, works with other administrators in the region, and performs other duties assigned to the Mayor per the request from Town Council.

COUNCIL

Local Legislative powers are vested by law in the governing body 7-1-4122, MCA and specifically include legislative power, subject to state law, to adopt, amend and repeal ordinances and resolutions required.

Town Council Meetings are the 2nd Monday of the month at 6:00 pm now at the Sheridan Senior Center unless otherwise posted.
